Leanna, Stop talking for minute and read this stuff! Had God not providentially brought you into the family you are in, you would have fit nicely into the Maxwell’s (for the most part!). Just like Ann and I are with our own, we have always enjoyed having you around. You have certainly provided Hannah with a much needed sister to laugh with and cry with and fight with. And since you are like family, we, (maybe I should just speak for myself!?) looked forward to those times when you were not around too! California is stretching it a bit, but knowing you’re following a calling makes me excited, not to see you go, but to see what God will do in you and through you for His glory.
I can’t tell you how it encourages me that you got on track with the gospel as a teenager when you came to our church family and you stayed on it. It is such a joy to see when people get it and the faith becomes their way of life. You adjusted your life to the ways of Christ just like He calls us to do. You are willing to do what it takes to bring glory to God, to use your gifts and passions, from and for Him, to serve others constantly. What an example you are to me of a disciple of Jesus. Thank you for being so. May God bring fruit that remains from your work in ministry in these years to come.
Your friend, first pastor, third father, and big fan,
Chuck
